Environmental Horizons has a well equipped treatment and disposal facility with an area of (1000,000 m2) ready to receive, treat and dispose of all types of industrial and hazardous wastes
We use modern and sophisticated techniques and equipment to collect industrial and hazardous waste from all kind of sources (power and desalination plants, petrochemical industries, chemical laboratories, factories, and others), in accordance with the local and international regulations and guidelines and applying best practices in the field.
WASTE TREATMENT & DISPOSAL
We own and operate the largest landfill for hazardous waste in the region, which complies with international standards for safety, quality, and sustainability. We also carry out multiple procedures to ensure that the hazardous waste we receive is managed effectively and responsibly. These procedures include:
- Inspection and weighing: We inspect the hazardous waste that arrives at the gate of our landfill to verify its identity, quantity, quality, and compliance with the manifest, which is a document that contains information about the source, type, quantity, and destination of the hazardous waste. We also weigh the hazardous waste that arrives at our landfill to record its quantity.
- Classification and treatment: We classify the hazardous waste that arrives at our landfill according to its type, characteristics, and risks, and we determine the appropriate method for sorting, treating, recycling, using, and converting it into useful materials , energy, or disposing of them in safe and sustainable ways according to the recognized international standards.
